the more i define myself, the more i am findable. the more i may be known, the more i may be loved.
preamble
this is the shape i return to, again and again. a process.
i am making myself. myself, i am making.
intention + attention
i aspire to ask good questions.
i aim to notice what i am noticing — to give my attention to what i want to love and grow.
i do my best not to perform certainty.
language determines and describes; i use it carefully.
honor the process
wandering is often how i arrive.
my body speaks desire before my mind can name it.
i must always allow myself to be moved.
i rarely have the capacity for urgency in my body.
love teaches what logic cannot.
the perfect day begins with a good night’s rest.
we are here to touch and be touched
friendships are my preferred medium.
i seek tools for liberation, not for control.
i look for possibility, not reduction, in another’s attributes.
movement and staying still
practice and passion move me in equal measure.
treat everything as an experiment but set a few constants to observe clearly.
rest: commit to it, just as you commit to work.
i aim to mark my life with interesting days.
